Best Brace Of The Season From Grafham
A recent rain sodden and windswept trip to Grafham was made more than worthwile after catching this brace of stunning, fin perfect, very silvered up rainbow trout. The first fish of the day weighed in at 3lb 12oz. This was followed by several high quality fish in the 2lb 4oz to 2lb 12lb class, all in fantastic condition, bright silver and with big tails.
The best was saved to last with the capture of the largest fish of the day weighing in at 4lb 2oz of solid silver with a huge tail full of silver bloom, the result of the abundance of high quality aquatic food the trout feed upon. Absolutely fantastic. All the fish gave outstanding accounts of themselves. An amazing testament to the quality of the fish and fishing at Grafham
The proven catching method on the day being tiny imitations of the Grey Boy or Orange Silver buzzers that were hatching off in profusion all morning fished static on a floating line.
